Why are two birds always on my porch. There is no nest there. They just hang around my house all day long.?

I have these two birds that just hang around my house. They are not injured and can move just fine. For about the past week they have been sitting on my front porch, or on my porch steps. They are not scared of me, they don't move when I come around them. They don't bother me, I just wonder why they are hanging so close to my house and they are always together. Any ideas?
