What happens durin an appointment for depression and self harming?

i am very down recently, and my mum thought it would be a good idea to be tested for depression, so we are off to the doctors. ii gave up self harming about 3 weeks ago:) well im trying to anyway. what happens, what questions will they ask, and would they put me on tablets? i'm 15, thanks in advance xox
