I cant seem to get a job?

I've applied to at least 5 companies in the last 3 weeks and none have called. I need to work for the summer because i'm going to college soon and I need the money!!!! I've applied to Walmart, Academy, Walgreen, Petco, Petsmart, Macy's and Dillards. What should I do?!!!!
