Can someone explain how raising taxes will help the economy or anyone but the government?

when you raise taxes it gives the government more money to spend faster and do things like help poor people stay out of work and stay poor. at the same time its used to fix roads, sidewalks, light the streets so people can go out and get mugged. with all the extra money they got left over they can spend it on hiring more people to better serve the community. then after a while they raise everyones taxes so they can do more good. at the same time people start moving out because of the high taxes and bad conditions. aka michigan, california etc...
